We are a few blocks from Chateau La Mer. Water went down somewhat last night, but I woke up this morning to a nice river in front of the house. We were pumping out the basement all morning and hopefully the land lady is there to pump out this afternoon, because we're not there. DH's car is a tad bit ruined, hopefully not too bad. He moved it a little late yesterday, not listening to me and waiting for the flooding to really hit. But hopefully, it will dry out and be ok.
I can't believe the roads. I borrowed my moms car (because mine is in the shop STILL, for a THIRD day) to go see a client today and I almost turned around. I was going 35 on the Southern state and kept getting these uhuge splashes from other drivers and I couldn't see a thing!! I hope this ends soon!!!! We had to walk about mile in the pouring rain to our car this morning because of all this flooding!!
